Berlin — President William Ruto said Kenya possesses some of the world’s finest human capital. He emphasized that the government will leverage this “diverse, rich and skilled resource” to advance the country’s interests, describing it as “one of our biggest assets of great value.”
Ruto made these remarks on Tuesday in Berlin while meeting Kenyans living in Germany. He noted that, because of their industry and brilliance, Kenyans can work anywhere. The president also indicated that negotiations are underway with countries such as Germany to eliminate red tape, allowing Kenyan skills to be exported and fully utilized.
“We are also reviewing the Diaspora Policy so that we can take advantage of the opportunities that exist out there,” he said, urging Kenyan institutions to continue producing quality professionals across all cadres and fields.
