Siaya — Azimio protestors in Siaya set fire to United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party offices, echoing a similar incident that occurred in Kisumu. Siaya County UDA party chairman Waore Dianga confirmed that a group of hooligans stormed the office and ignited it. He said the police were slow to intervene, arriving only after the building was already ablaze, and no county fire‑fighters were dispatched to extinguish the flames.

According to Dianga, the attackers first tore down the fence and carried away the gate. They then removed all the doors and windows, taking anything they could find inside before setting the office on fire. Dianga condemned the actions of the hooligans, noting that they were part of the team demonstrating in Siaya town.

The assault on the UDA office in Siaya occurred barely two weeks after the party’s Kisumu office was vandalized and a vehicle was burnt.
