Help, at 19 I can’t count my sex partners

Dear Ma,

I really love the good work you are doing. May God bless you more and reward you both in this world and in the world to come, in Jesus’ name. I will be 45 this year, and, by God’s grace, I am still a virgin. From an early age I resolved to pursue relationships the way God intends, yet I have only experienced heartbreak and disappointment, even from the Christian brothers I have met. At times I feel down when I reflect on all I have endured at the hands of men, especially as I sense my biological clock ticking faster. I know my Redeemer lives, and He will never abandon His own.

— Miss Matesun

Your message touched me deeply. At 19 I had many boyfriends and countless sexual encounters—I can’t even recall how many men I slept with. Now that God has shone light on my self‑destructive habits, I wonder if He can forgive me for defiling myself. I thought I was enjoying my youth; my friends told me that if I didn’t “flex” and have fun with guys now, I would miss out on my teenage years. As a result, I have no admission requirements for university, and I feel confused, ashamed, and almost hate myself.

Believe me, I wish I could see you, give you a bear hug, and squeeze all your pain and regret out of you. Since you have recognized your folly, God has already forgiven you. What you need now is a major spiritual overhaul: deliverance prayers to break ungodly soul ties, spirits, and demons transferred by numerous sexual partners; prayers for the recovery of lost virtues; and prayers to protect you from falling back into lust. This is a serious matter if you desire total freedom.

Some may think I am exaggerating the consequences of multiple sexual partners outside marriage, but it is far more than a “big deal.” It is like gambling with one’s precious life and destiny for a few minutes of pleasure, when one could instead delay gratification and experience heaven on earth with a single partner who brings great signs and wonders.

To begin, separate yourself from promiscuous friends and commit to a complete lifestyle change. Seek a Bible‑teaching, Holy‑Spirit‑filled church that emphasizes holiness and the narrow way, where you can worship and prepare for the battle of your life. The devil will not release you from his captivity unless you fight through serious prayer, consecration, and deliverance sessions. You cannot do this alone.

Please Google my articles on “secondary virginity”; they were inspired by the Spirit of God and will help you wrestle your soul and body from fleshly lust. As you follow these steps and read the articles, your mind will be refreshed, and you will become more focused on pursuing your destiny, studying hard, and gaining admission to a higher institution.

Girls, sexual immorality can destroy your destiny. You cannot keep mingling your spirit with the spirits and demons of strangers, including those attached to your sexual partners. A man pours his spirit, energy, and essentially his whole life into you—something you may not even realize he takes away. May you not invite darkness into your life. May your flesh not extinguish God’s light, in Jesus’ name. May God empower you to abstain until your wedding night, and may you end up with a man who promotes your life and treats you like gold.

I invite you to follow me on Facebook (TEMILOLU OKEOWO) and Instagram (@Okeowotemilolu). If you are still engaging in premarital sex, each act devalues you. Your wonders are waiting to begin, and God is waiting for you to become a secondary virgin. You are welcome aboard the Chastity Campaign train; the Girls Club is open to all girls and women. Please text your name, age, school or occupation, and place of residence to 07086620576.
