With ten games remaining in the 2022/23 season, Super Eagles striker Victor Osimham is already looking forward to celebrating Napoli’s Serie A title with the club’s fans, Sports Extra reports. This season has become one of the best of his career, as he leads the Italian top‑flight scoring chart with 21 goals—seven more than Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martínez, who sits second with 14. Osimhen’s prolific form is a key factor in Luciano Spalletti’s side topping the league, sitting 16 points clear of second‑place Lazio and on course to claim the Scudetto for the first time in over three decades.
In an interview with TG5, the Nigeria international expressed his eagerness to share the triumph with Napoli supporters. “We are all happy and giving our best to make our dream come true,” he said. “We are close to the objective and can’t wait for that dream to become reality. Naples is extraordinary and so passionate. I have never received so much love, and I can’t wait to celebrate the title with them in the stadium and in the streets.”
Osimham missed Napoli’s recent league match against AC Milan due to an adductor injury sustained while on international duty for Nigeria during the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Guinea‑Bissau. He remains confident he will be fit for the Champions League quarter‑final first leg against Milan, scheduled for April 12 at San Siro. “It is nothing serious, but I want to take these 10–12 days to rest and recover,” he told TG5. “I hope to be there, and I am convinced I will be on the pitch against Milan.”
