Real Madrid: Benzema gives Florentino Perez two strong conditions to extend contract

Real Madrid striker, Karim Benzema, has given the club, under the leadership of President Florentino Perez, two conditions for him to extend his contract with the Los Blancos.

According to El Nacional, Benzema’s demands include being the undisputed starter and claiming an improved wage that reflects his value as a player.

The report added that Perez has doubts about doing so, as Benzema’s demands are not feasible, in his view.

Perez is also considering signing a new central striker, which would complicate the Frenchman’s position in the pecking order.

Benzema’s contract with Real Madrid is set to expire at the end of the season.

There is growing tension among Real Madrid fans about the 35-year-old’s future at Santiago Bernabeu.

Despite Perez’s reservations, Benzema, who scored a hat-trick against Valladolid on Sunday, has continued to prove his worth to the team.
