Shooting Stars coach unhappy with Lucky Emmanuel performance

Shooting Stars’ technical adviser, Nurudeen Aweroro, has expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of new signing Lucky Emmanuel, despite the team’s 3-0 win over Enyimba at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan on Wednesday. Emmanuel scored one of the goals in the encounter, with Qamar Adegoke and Sodiq Ibrahim also netting for the Oluyole Warriors.

Aweroro stated that Emmanuel still has areas to improve in his game, saying “Lucky didn’t do well to my own satisfaction.” However, he acknowledged that the forward is aware of his shortcomings and will continue to work with him to enhance his performance ahead of the next game.

Emmanuel rejoined Shooting Stars at the start of the second stanza, having previously played for the team in 2022. His return to the Oluyole Warriors is expected to bolster the team’s attacking lineup.

The win over Enyimba is a significant boost for Shooting Stars, who are seeking to improve their standing in the league. Aweroro’s assessment of Emmanuel’s performance highlights the team’s focus on continuous improvement and attention to detail. As the season progresses, Shooting Stars will be looking to build on this momentum and address areas of concern to achieve their goals.

With Emmanuel’s potential yet to be fully realized, the team’s coaching staff will be working closely with him to refine his skills and capitalize on his strengths. As the Oluyole Warriors prepare for their next match, they will be aiming to leverage Emmanuel’s contributions and strengthen their overall performance.
