Senator Michael Ama, representing the Ebonyi South Senatorial zone, has dismissed rumors that the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chukwuma Ifeanyi Odii, was allegedly dismissed by a court. Nnachi, who is seeking a second term in office, clarified that there are no ongoing primaries or court cases within the Ebonyi State chapter of the party concerning this year’s general election.
Media Talk Africa reports that speculation has circulated regarding the alleged court ruling against Odii, suggesting that new primaries were conducted. Addressing party supporters in his hometown of Itim Edda, located in the Afikpo South Local Government Area, Nnachi stated, “There is no other court case in PDP; there were no other primaries in PDP. We have finished our primaries, the National Working Committee has recognized our primaries, and INEC has recognized our primaries. Before you change any of us, you must kill us, and doctors will certify us dead; otherwise, no one can substitute us.”
Senator Nnachi confidently asserted that the PDP will defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming elections and take control of the Ebonyi government house. He emphasized, “We have four months to be in the government house; we are marching to the government house, and Ifeanyi Odii will be the governor. We are going to pay workers full salaries, and local governments will receive their full allocations. We are committed to empowering the people of the state through human capital development.”
