Easter: Kaduna Christians embark on prayer for state, country

Ahead of Easter Sunday, Christians in Kaduna State embarked on fasting and prayer for God’s abundant blessings upon residents of the state and Nigeria.

Several churches across the state had declared the week as a “week of prayers.”

According to Pastor James Wandema, Resident Pastor, Winners Chapel, Kaduna: “The week is generally called the Week of Judas where Judas betrayed Jesus Christ. It is, therefore, in the best interest of all Christians to be fervent in prayer, so that the power of the enemies will be put to shame.”

Also speaking to Media Talk Africa in an interview, a member of Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministry, Dr. Joseph Abumere, said there is reward in prayer and advised all Christians to devote their time praying to God Almighty.

Mrs. Yohana Mary, another respondent, said: “It is only through prayer that we can subdue satanic arrows. My advice to all Nigerians that we should all be prayerful.”
