Delta: Omo-Agege submits petition challenging Oborevwori’s victory

The Deputy President of the Senate and governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, has filed a petition challenging the declaration the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori as the winner of the March 18, 2023, governorship election in the State.

The petition was filed and submitted on Thursday, Media Talk Africa can report.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, was joined in the suit/petition.

Delta State APC Publicity Secretary, E.Valentine Onojeghuo Esq, and the DG on Media & Communication to the APC Governorship Campaign Council, Ima Niboro, confirmed the report in a chat with our correspondent in Warri.

The duo are yet to provide details of the prayers of Omo-Agege in the petition to the governorship election tribunal.

Media Talk Africa can also report that Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, also filed a seventy-nine-page petition challenging the victory of RT. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori at the governorship election tribunal.
