Yobe State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has tasked Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC) to improve on its service delivery in the state.

The Council’s Chairman, Comrade Rajab Mohammed, gave the charge on Saturday during a congress meeting held at the NUJ State Council Secretariat in Damaturu.

Comrade Rajab described as worrisome the erratic power supply across the state as it is affecting the living condition of the common man in the state, especially during this Ramadan period.

“The State Council is disturbed by the erratic power supply being experienced in Damaturu and its environs as well as the exorbitant estimated bill from the distribution company.
