At least three people were killed and six others injured after two vehicles collided on the Abuja‑Kaduna highway on Saturday. According to our correspondent, the crash involved a Toyota Highlander (registration KWL 198 KA) traveling from Kaduna to Abuja and a Volkswagen Golf (registration MKA 89 ZY) coming from the opposite direction. Both vehicles were badly damaged, trapping several passengers inside.

Emergency response teams rushed the victims to General Hospital in Sabon Wuse. Three of the injured were pronounced dead on arrival, while the remaining patients received treatment and were reported to be in critical condition. The three bodies were handed over to the relatives after identification at the scene.

When approached for comment, the spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps, Bisi Kazeem, had not yet responded to inquiries about the accident.
