A man based in South America was arrested in Nigeria with nearly 10 kg of cocaine concealed in latex condoms and factory‑packed perfume bottles, according to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). The agency’s spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, shared the news on his social media on Sunday morning.

Babafemi wrote that the suspect, whose identity has not yet been released, had traveled to Nigeria in search of his long‑lost Nigerian father. He arrived carrying the drugs hidden in jumbo‑size latex condoms that were placed inside perfume bottles.

The NDLEA confirmed that the arrest took place a few hours earlier on Sunday morning at the PHIA checkpoint, as shown in a video posted by Babafemi. The agency said it would provide further details of the case later in the day.
