NPFL: Enyimba end winless streak, beat Plateau United 2-1

Enyimba returned to winning ways in the Nigeria Professional Football League courtesy of a hard-fought 2-1 win against Plateau United in Aba on Sunday.

The eight-time champions failed to record a win in their previous four games before Sunday’s encounter at the Enyimba International Stadium.

Imo Obot gave Enyimba the lead in the 34th minute, while Chukwuemeka Obioma added the second in the 53rd minute.

Obioma has now scored 10 goals for the Peoples Elephants this season.

Innocent Chimezie reduced the deficit ten minutes from time.

In Ibadan, Shooting Stars battled Remo Stars to a thrilling 1-1 draw in the South West derby.

The home team took an early lead through Desmond Agbekpomu.

Aniekeme Okon equalised for Remo Stars 20 minutes from time.

Holders Rivers United were held to a 0-0 draw by Niger Tornadoes.
