Napoli captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo insists his team can still perform well against AC Milan despite the absence of Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian striker, who has scored four goals in five Champions League appearances this season, is sidelined with a muscle injury sustained during international duty in March. Napoli will face AC Milan tonight in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter‑final, and they will be without their top scorer.
The Serie A leaders suffered a 4‑0 defeat to Milan in a league match last month, also without Osimhen. “We know that Osimhen is a great player and he is very important for us, but we don’t depend only on one player. We have full confidence in the players who are available,” Di Lorenzo told Tutto Napoli. “We are calm about this. Osimhen is important, but he won’t be there, so we will face them with the players we have.”
