​APGA’s ​Nwobashi wins Ebonyi Reps seat

The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has won the rerun election for Ezza North/Ishielu federal constituency in Ebonyi.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on Sunday, declared Joseph Nwobashi the winner.

The Returning Officer, Prof. Augustine Ibegbu of Alex Ekwueme University, announced Nwobashi won with 11,890 votes.

He defeated Emmanuel Nwite of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who got 11,150 votes; Chinedu Oguta of Labour Party, LP, polled 8,076 votes.

Nwobashi is former majority leader in Ebonyi State House of Assembly.

APGA spokesperson in Ebonyi, Chibuike Nwanchor has congratulated him and urged party members remain united for more success.
