EPL: Arteta reveals who to blame for Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with West Ham

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has said “we have to blame ourselves” following a 2-2 draw with West Ham on Sunday.

For the second consecutive Premier League fixture, the Gunners threw away a two-goal lead and dropped points in the title race.

Arteta’s men went in front through Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard, but the hosts fought back through a Said Benhrama penalty and Jarrod Bowen goal.

“If you concede two or three goals away from home, it is very difficult to win football matches.

“We have to blame ourselves with how we defended those two goals in our boxes.

“We need to have that ruthless mindset to go and kill a team. When a team is there for the taking, we have to kill the team,” Arteta said.

Arsenal welcome Southampton next on Friday night.
