Guber polls: Kogi PDP’s media director, Onibiyo resigns

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Director for Media and Communications in Kogi State, Dayo Onibiyo, has resigned his appointment from the party.

In a letter dated 17th April, which a copy was sent to Media Talk Africa on Monday, Onibiyo directed his resignation letter to the State Chairman, Engr. Sam Ohotu.

Media Talk Africa gathered that his decision to resign from the party is not unconnected with the recently concluded primaries which produced Senator Dino Melaye as the party flagbearer for the November 11 governorship election in Kogi State.

The letter reads in part: “I write to appreciate those who counted me worthy to serve in this office, dated back to June 2021, when it has become clear that the party had lost both it’s voice and image under a sitting P.R.O of the party, whose life was threatened by the ruling class as reported.

“I also thank the party for the way it has treated me for the selfless services I have rendered by
sacrificing me on the altar of delegate because of the fear, that I would not do an agenda they have found personal to themselves.

“God bless everyone as one day soon, not too long, we will meet on the field.Pease direct as appropriate, who I should handover to, particularly, the outlets I managed or better
still direct it crashed”.
