Supplementary elections: APC wins all four House of Assembly seats in Niger

The Niger State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has won all the four House of Assembly seats in the just concluded Supplementary elections conducted last Saturday.

The re-run held in about four local government areas in 11 registration areas and 15 polling units.

The affected councils include Agaie, Agwara, Rafi and Rijau.

At Agaie council, Muhammad Isa Etsu-Agaie was declared winner of the rerun polls.

Likewise, Mohammed Garba emerged the Winner of Agwara Constituency for the State House of Assembly,

Also, Bako Bello Alhaji was declared winner for Rijau constituency, while the Rafi seat was won by Zubairu Ismaila.

Reacting to the outcome of the re-run elections, the state APC in a statement applauded the people of the state, especially electorates in Agaie, Agwara, Rafi and Rijau constituencies for the confidence they have on the party.

The statement signed by the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Musa Sarkinkaji, said, “the party equally appreciates the unmeasurable support of the affected local government stakeholders, the State Executive Committee, Zonal/Local Government Executives, Ward and Pulling units Excos which ensured that the victory of the party was achieved”.

Presently, following the results of the supplementary polls, the ruling APC has 20 out of 27 constituency seats at the State House of Assembly.
