Europa League: Why Man Utd lost 3-0 to Sevilla – Ten Hag

Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has said his players lacked composure and fight following their exit from the Europa League on Thursday night.

The Red Devils threw away a two-goal lead in the first leg of the quarter-final tie at Old Trafford to draw 2-2.

However, Ten Hag’s men were thrashed 3-0 in Seville, with United putting in one of their worst displays of the season.

Ten Hag, speaking to BT Sport, said: “We have to do better, that’s the demand. We were not composed, not calm. We didn’t beat the press, when you do there are so many spaces behind, and it was obvious at the start how to do it.

“We lost the battles, they had more passion, more desire, more willingness, that’s difficult to win games.”
