The Police Service Commission wishes to commiserate with the Inspector General of Police, Alkali Baba Usman and the Imo state Police Command on the gruesome murder of five police officers.

Ikechukwu Ani, Head Press and Public Relations in a statement on Sunday, said the commission is deeply pained over the killing of five police officers on duty last week

Media Talk Africa recalls that five police officers were gruesomely murdered last week by unknown Gunmen at Okpala junction in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State

The statement further commiserate with the families of the deceased officers and pray that God will give them the Fortitude to bear this avoidable and irreparable loss.

The statement further encouraged officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force not to relent, but to be courageous aimed at ensuring that the perpetrators are brought to book.

It further appealed to Imo state Police Command to accord the slain officers a befitting ceremonial burial rites meant for heroes who have laid their lives for peace loving Nigerians.

It further said the Chairman of the Commission, Solomon Arase, IGP while commensurated with the families of the deceased further added that the commission would continued to partner with the Nigeria Police Force to ensure that Police Officers on duty are provided with necessary gadgets to protect themselves and fence off marauding terror gangs causing havoc across the nation.
