We’re lucky to beat Nasarawa United – Ilechukwu

Plateau United head coach, Fidelis Ilechwuku has kind words for Nasarawa United despite his team coming out victorious in the matchday 15 clash on Sunday.

Nenrot Silas’ first-half strike was all that separated both teams at the New Jos Stadium.

Ilechukwu claimed the visitors pushed his team real hard in the game and were unlucky not to claim a share of the spoils.

“Nasarawa United demonstrated more determination,” Ilechwuku said in his post-match interview.

“In all sincerity, Nasarawa United were the better side due to their push to escape relegation.

“They really made things difficult for us. I must admit we were lucky to win the game “
