EPL: Lampard reveals player who is ‘future of Chelsea’

Chelsea interim manager, Frank Lampard has said Enzo Fernandez could be the “future” of the club.

Blues co-owner, Toddy Boehly spent £107million to bring in Fernandez from Benfica in January.

However, the move has so far has underwhelmed, even though Fernandez has provided the spark in some games and could very well eventually meet his potential.

Lampard told reporters on Tuesday: “For a young player to achieve what he’s achieved in this footballing year is amazing.

“It’s a difficult moment to come to the club, but it’s a challenge that will make him better. He is the future of Chelsea.”
