Security agencies begin search for kidnapped Taraba council boss

The search for the abducted caretaker committee chairman of Takum Local Government Council of Taraba State, Boyi Manja, has begun.

The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Abdullahi Usman, who on Sunday made the confirmation to our reporter in Jalingo, said the reinforcement of security operatives, whom according to him, are on the trail of the abductors, have been deployed into the forest in view of “rescuing him ”

According to him, the command has resolved not to rest on its oars until when the chairman is rescued from the kidnappers’ den.

He also called on the people of the council, especially those dwelling around the forest where the operations are being carried out not to panic, but to be law abiding.

Apart from the police, other sisters security agencies, among which include the soldiers and Civil Defence corps, were said to have as well been deployed into the forest.
