Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, a popular Nigerian comedian who goes by the name Sabinus, has opened up about how he believes God has been using problems to bless him. Recently he was seen hanging out with legendary musician 2Face Idibia, where he revealed this information.
In the viral video seen by fans across the country, 2Face Idibia was curious and asked Sabinus why he likes problems too much. To which Sabinus replied, stating that without problems, he wouldn’t have the financial success he has today. He believes that’s one of the reasons God keeps sending him problems.
Sabinus went on to emphasise that these problems only exist in his online comedy skits and not in real life. Speaking to 2Face, Sabinus jokingly stated, “Boss, you know, say if I no enter problem, money no go come. So, God has been sending problems my way—online o, not offline o [laughs].”
As a comedian, Sabinus has become known for his witty, humorous online skits – which he creates, produces and distributes to fans across social media platforms – that playfully address various societal and personal issues.
In Nigerian culture, it’s common for individuals to believe that when success comes too easily, one should be cautious. They believe life’s challenges are meant to serve as stepping-stones towards a brighter future. Sabinus’s positive approach to facing his problems highlights how he believes that God is always watching out for him.
Sabinus’s creative use of humor and personal struggles in his comedy has endeared him to fans across Nigeria. His ability to see the positive in every negative experience is admirable, and his comedy continues to inspire many people.
