Ally McCoist, the former Rangers and Scotland legend, has recently stated that Manchester City are currently unstoppable. This comes as City is only three wins away from the coveted treble, which they would achieve by winning the Premier League, FA Cup, and the Champions League. Just recently, they booked their spot in the Champions League final with an impressive 5-1 aggregate win over Real Madrid.
During the breakfast show on talkSPORT, McCoist opined: “They were brilliant from start to finish. The game was finished at half-time and it should have been four. They did not have a weakness in that team at all, and on that performance, they were effectively unstoppable. Unstoppable!” McCoist was shown to be deeply impressed with their performance and deemed it to be one of the finest footballing displays he has witnessed in a long time.
Manchester City’s performance has been nothing short of fantastic this season. For instance, they have one foot in the door of winning the Premier League title after a sensational run where they won 20 matches in a row. They are also due to face local rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-final, having already dispatched Everton, Swansea, and Birmingham City earlier in the competition.
