APC Speaker and Deputy Speaker candidates lobby Abia governor-elect and LP members

The candidates for Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 10th House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas and Benjamin Kalu, respectively, recently visited the governor-elect of Abia State, Alex Otti, to seek his blessing ahead of the upcoming National Assembly inauguration on June 13. Additionally, the candidates were accompanied by members of the Joint Task – 10th Assembly, a coalition of APC and opposition party members who have endorsed the ruling party’s candidates. Kalu is the only returning APC member of the House from Abia, where the Labour Party won the governorship and parliamentary seats in the elections. The meeting with Otti is part of a nationwide consultation effort by the APC candidates to engage stakeholders from across political parties.

The Punch provided several photos depicting the event in their article.
