David De Gea: Man Utd’s Goalkeeper Claims the Golden Glove Award for 2022/2023 EPL Season

David De Gea, the goalkeeper for Manchester United, has been awarded the Premier League’s prestigious Golden Glove award for the 2022/2023 season.

The announcement was made after it became clear that De Gea had secured the prize this season, after making an impressive 16 clean sheets so far. De Gea has demonstrated remarkable consistency this season, and has become unmatchable. Liverpool’s Alisson Becker, who is the nearest competitor behind him, has 14 clean sheets but conceded a goal against Aston Villa.

In contrast, Newcastle United’s Nick Pope and Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale have both achieved 13 clean sheets so far, with two matches remaining in the league.

This is the second time the 32-year-old De Gea has won the Golden Glove award. His first win dates back to the 2017/2018 season.

De Gea has played a key role in keeping United from conceding in nearly half of their league games this year.
