Rivers State Governor advises aggrieved aspirants to respect APC and Tinubu’s decision for 10th NASS leadership

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has called on aspirants vying for leadership positions of the National Assembly to respect the decision made by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the President-elect, Bola Tinubu. Wike disclosed this during a press briefing in Abuja over the weekend. He added that respecting such decisions would enable the President-elect to have a harmonious relationship with the legislative arm of government, which is vital for robust governance.

The Governor further reminded Nigerians of what happened in 2015, following a similar occurrence which greatly affected the administration’s performance. Wike stated that the President-elect should be supported by Nigerians that have the capacity to help deliver what is required to make Nigeria a great nation, regardless of whether they are members of the APC or not.

He urged aspirants to consider the interest of Nigerians first, by respecting the decision made by the Party’s leadership and the President-elect.
