Flying Eagles Winger, Jude Sunday, Looks to Make a Goal Impact Against Italy in U-20 World Cup

The Nigerian U-20 team, Flying Eagles, continues its U-20 World Cup campaign with a game against Italy today, and one player is looking to make a significant contribution. Winger, Jude Sunday, hopes to open his goal-scoring account at the tournament.

In their previous game against Dominican Republic on Sunday, Sunday was very unlucky not to score. Despite having two goal-bound shots on target, he failed to find the back of the net. The Dominican Republic goalkeeper saved his shots, and he also had a goal nullified for offside.

However, Sunday is not a stranger to scoring goals; he scored twice for the Flying Eagles in the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations tournament held earlier this year in Egypt. He is now eager to score his first goal in the ongoing U-20 World Cup and is ready to give his best.

In an interview with NFF TV, he said, “I am ready for the match. We need to win the match, and it is very important to us. I will try my possible best to score and maybe assist. My message to Nigerians is for them to put us in prayers and keep backing us, and we’ll do our best in the next game.”

All eyes will be on the pacy winger as he hopes to make a significant contribution in the match against the Young Azzurri.
