Air Strikes Reportedly Wipe Out Scores of ISWAP Militants in Yobe

Reports have emerged that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has effectively eliminated a significant number of terrorists belonging to the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), in Turo and Ambia villages within the Gujba local government area of Yobe State.

According to reliable sources from the intelligence community, the terrorists were targeted and taken down on Monday afternoon in a well-coordinated intelligence-led attack by NAF fighter jets.

Counter-Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, revealed that the bombings resulted from a surveillance mission that revealed eight gun trucks conveying numerous ISWAP fighter militants in the area.

During the operation, the fighter jets successfully struck and eliminated a majority of the terrorists, causing a significant blow to the militant group in the region.

While the Headquarters of Operation Hadin Kai is yet to release an official statement, it is apparent that the airstrikes were successful in significantly reducing the number of the dreaded ISWAP fighters in the region.
