The Ogun state government has announced the official launch of its second-term inauguration programme for Governor Dapo Abiodun, with a Special Juma’at Service scheduled for Friday, May 26th. The service will begin at 1 pm and will take place at the Central Mosque in Kobiti, Abeokuta. Additionally, a Cultural Night event will be held at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta at 4 pm on the same day.
According to a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. TokunboTalabi, there will be an Interdenominational Church Service on Sunday, May 28th, at the Cathedral Church of St. Peters in Ake, Abeokuta. The service will begin at 10 am.
On Monday, May 29th, the inauguration parade and swearing-in ceremony will take place at the M.K.O Abiola International Stadium in Kuto, Abeokuta, beginning at 10 am. This will be followed by an inauguration luncheon at the OOPL Events Marquee, starting at 1 pm on the same day.
The inauguration programme is expected to attract a range of dignitaries from across Nigeria, including political leaders, traditional rulers, and other stakeholders in Ogun state. The programme is designed to celebrate Governor Abiodun’s second term and set the tone for the next four years of his administration.
The Ogun state government has assured all attendees of the inauguration events of their safety and security. It has also urged all residents of Ogun state to participate in the events and support the government in its efforts to move the state forward.
As preparations for the events continue, all eyes will be on Abeokuta as Governor Abiodun is officially sworn in for his second term in office.
