Benue State Governor Freezes All Government Bank Accounts

In a bold move towards ensuring accountability in the financial systems of Benue State, Governor Hyacinth Alia has ordered all government bank accounts frozen. This announcement was made in his inaugural speech shortly after taking the oath of office as Governor of Benue State at the IBB Square on Monday.

Governor Alia emphasized that the ‘Post No Debit’ instruction shall remain in force until all signatories are changed. He also warned all banks to comply with the directive without delay, adding that any bank that violates this instruction would be doing so at its own risk.

The Governor expressed his unwavering commitment to transparency during his speech, and this latest development is expected to help in the fight against corruption in Benue State.
