DSS clarifies allegations of rivalry with EFCC over Lagos property

The Department of State Services (DSS) has issued a statement on Tuesday, denying reports that its operatives prevented officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) from entering their Lagos office. The statement was made by the DSS spokesperson, Dr. Peter Afunanya, who explained that the DSS is occupying its facility to fulfill its official and statutory responsibilities, and there is no controversy over the building, as was previously reported in the media.

Afunanya also noted that the DSS/Director of NSO previously occupied the headquarters, where the DSS began its operations. Notably, the DSS stated that there is no rivalry between the DSS and EFCC, and the agencies are collaborating to work for the benefit of the nation.
