Tinubu orders DSS to vacate EFCC office in Lagos

Following the recent incident at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) office in Ikoyi, Lagos State, President Bola Tinubu has ordered the Department of State Service (DSS) to vacate the EFCC office immediately.

The directive was given after Tinubu was informed about the situation in Lagos State. The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council tweeted the President’s response and directive.

According to the tweet, the President stated that if there were any issues between the two important government agencies, they would have to be resolved amicably. On Tuesday, DSS officials allegedly prevented officials of the EFCC from accessing their workplace, causing confusion and raising concerns among citizens.

It is worthy of note that the reason for the DSS action is yet to be officially disclosed. However, the move has sparked lots of reactions from Nigerians, especially on social media. The development has also left many wondering what could have led to such a drastic action and whether it would affect the agency’s anti-corruption crusade.

As of now, the EFCC is yet to release any official statement on the matter. Nevertheless, the directive given by President Tinubu shows his commitment to ensuring that the two government agencies work together in harmony for the betterment of Nigeria as a whole.
