Paramount Ruler, Och’Idoma, HRM Elaigwu Congratulates Akume on SGF Appointment

The announcement of Senator George Akume’s appointment as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) by President Buhari’s administration has received commendation from the paramount ruler of Idoma Kingdom, Och’Idoma Agaba-Idu HRM Elaigwu Odogbo Obagaji John. The HRM extended his congratulations to Senator Akume on his appointment.

In a statement issued by his media aide and Chief Palace Scribe, Onuminya Samuel Odoba, the HRM commended President Buhari’s administration for recognizing the “worthy Benue son for this all-important national position” and praised Senator Akume’s political sagacity and seasoned administrative experience bearing on his civil service experience.

The statement further proclaimed that Senator Akume’s eyes for spotting potential make him the most suitable person for the new national assignment, and the HRM urged him to go on and thrive in his new position as SGF.

The statement also made reference to John 3:27 which states that, “You can only receive what is approved from above,” emphasising that there is no contention when God is involved in a man’s affair. The HRM finally congratulated Senator Akume on his appointment as SGF, upgrading his fond acronym GSM to the new version GSM-SGF.

It is worthy of note that Senator Akume is a former Governor of Benue State and the immediate past Minister for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs in the President Buhari administration. His appointment as SGF is a well-deserved honour, and he is expected to bring his wealth of experience and administrative expertise to bear on his new national assignment.
