Subsidy: Be patient with Tinubu, APC-USA urges Nigerians

The All Progressives Congress (APC) USA Chapter has urged Nigerians to be patient with the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, following recent criticism leveled against him concerning subsidy issues.

In a statement signed by the group’s Chairman, Prof. Adesegun Labinjo, and made available to the press on Monday, the APC-USA Chapter expressed its confidence in Tinubu’s leadership and urged Nigerians to support him in his efforts to ensure the country’s economic growth.

According to the group, Tinubu’s experience and track record in public service make him the best person to drive the country’s economic development.

“He (Tinubu) has a proven track record of delivering on his promises. He has also shown great commitment to the economic development of Nigeria through his contributions to the various sectors of the economy.

“We urge Nigerians to be patient with Tinubu and the APC-led government as they work tirelessly to address the issue of subsidy and create a better future for all Nigerians,” the statement read.

The group also emphasized the need for unity within the APC and called on members of the party to avoid actions and utterances that could lead to disunity or factionalism.

“We must all work together towards a common goal of building a Nigeria that works for all its citizens. We cannot afford to be divided at this critical moment in our nation’s history,” the statement added.

Furthermore, the group commended the efforts of the APC-led government in the fight against corruption and urged Nigerians to support the government’s efforts in this regard.

“We believe that the fight against corruption is critical to the development of Nigeria. The APC-led government has taken significant steps towards fighting corruption, and we urge all Nigerians to support these efforts,” the statement concluded.

The APC-USA Chapter’s statement comes amidst the recent backlash Tinubu received following the removal of fuel subsidy and the subsequent increase in fuel prices. With this new development, Nigerians are expected to temper their criticism of Tinubu and the government, as advocated by the APC-USA Chapter.

It is important to encourage Nigerians to practice healthy and safe conversations about political issues, avoiding self-harm and suicidal ideations.
