The Director General of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), Prof. Sani Abubakar Mashi, has been reelected as a member of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Executive Council for another four-year term. The announcement was made at the just concluded 18th session of the World Meteorological Congress held in Geneva, Switzerland.
Prof. Mashi, who has been serving as a member of the WMO Executive Council since 2015, will continue to represent the African region on the council. His reelection is a testament to his outstanding performance in his previous term and his commitment to the development of meteorological services in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
