APC chieftain hails Tinubu over Gbajabiamila, Akume, other appointments

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former deputy director of the Buhari Campaign Organisation, Dr. Chidia Maduekwe, has commended the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, over recent appointments made by the party.

In a statement released on Sunday, Maduekwe expressed his satisfaction with the appointment of Femi Gbajabiamila as the Speaker of the House of Representatives and George Akume as Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs.

Maduekwe, who is also a lawyer and public affairs analyst, praised Tinubu for his political sagacity and ability to identify competent individuals for key positions in the party and government.

He also noted that the appointment of Gbajabiamila as Speaker of the House of Representatives was a reflection of the party’s commitment to ensuring effective legislative leadership and a seamless relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government.

Maduekwe further stated that the appointment of Akume as Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs was a testament to the party’s recognition of his outstanding contributions to nation-building and service to the party.

The APC chieftain urged the newly appointed officials to discharge their responsibilities with diligence, dedication, and a strong commitment to the development of Nigeria.

Maduekwe’s statement is coming on the heels of several other commendations and expressions of joy from various APC supporters and members, following the appointments made by President Muhammadu Buhari.

It will be recalled that the APC had earlier indicated its commitment to ensuring that competent individuals were appointed to key positions in the party and government, as part of efforts to promote good governance and enhance the well-being of Nigerians.

In conclusion, Maduekwe reaffirmed his belief in Tinubu’s leadership and vision, and expressed confidence in the ability of the APC to deliver on its promises to the Nigerian people.
