Logistics services across Nigeria and Africa have been transformed by tech startup Ruditech Limited, which has launched a mobile logistics application called Delivery Metropolis to address the movement of goods and services. Ndidiamaka Madubuike, the product developer behind the app, explained in a virtual launch on Saturday that the on-demand logistics platform is expected to help businesses and individuals with fast deliveries. The app offers services within and across states, and international deliveries.
Madubuike noted that Delivery Metropolis is “hassle-free”, and added the application is available for download from Apple and Google Play stores. She said the target audience for the app is extensive, ranging from individuals to offline and online sellers as well as buyers to offices, but is mostly made up of youths and young adults. Delivery Metropolis offers a variety of services, including logistics/delivery hailing, same-day delivery and last-mile delivery.
Addressing competitions in the industry, Madubuike hopes to have 1,000,000 downloads/subscribers in five years, with a daily active user of at least 4,000. This is due to the uniqueness of the service in Africa and Europe and how its insurance package works for riders and end users.
The virtual launch saw brand strategists, ICT experts, software and web developers from different platforms, as well as members of the Ruditech and Delivery Metropolis teams, in attendance.
