Gov Dikko Radda hails Akume, Gbajabiamila’s appointments

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has applauded Tinubu’s appointments of George Akume and Femi Gbajabiamila as Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and Chief of Staff (CoS) to the President, respectively, as appropriate and well-deserved.

Radda made the remark in a congratulatory message he sent to the duo, made available in a statement to journalists by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed.

According to Radda, Gbajamila’s appointment is considered in many quarters a round peg in a round hole, considering his wealth of experience and service to the country over the years.

The Katsina governor expressed confidence that the Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives will bring to bear his deep legislative knowledge and robust administrative experience in ensuring the smooth running of the Office of the President and support the government in providing the required leadership for the development and progress of the country.

“Be rest assured that our prayers and support are always with you as you take on the responsibilities of this high office,” he said.

Similarly, in a congratulatory message to Senator George Akume, the newly appointed Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Radda expressed confidence that the new SGF would deliver results considering his wealth of experience at both the state and federal levels.

“This is a huge accomplishment and one that we are very proud of. Your hard work and dogged determination to get things done right are hallmarks of your character over the years.

“We are confident that you will bring your wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of the responsibilities of your office.

“We wish you the best and success in your efforts to set in motion the machinery of government to improve the lives of all Nigerians,” Radda said.
