The former governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi, recently shared the reason why he believes that President Bola Tinubu will work with him and his counterpart, Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State. Umahi explained that Tinubu cannot leave them behind because they both worked for his emergence as the President.
Umahi acknowledged El-Rufai’s recent anti-Christian comments but believes that due to El-Rufai’s loyalty, he is still going to play a significant role in Tinubu’s government. He stated that the president will not distance himself from those who worked for his victory during the election.
He went on to say, “You can see his track records. He doesn’t betray anybody. So be very much assured that my good friend El-Rufai is going to play a major role. I’m not speaking for Mr President, but I’m speaking bearing in mind his character that I know too well,” He made this statement during an interview with Arise Television in Abuja.
