Imo State Will Be Safe Again Under My Leadership – PDP Gubernatorial Candidate, Anyanwu

Senator Samuel Anyanwu, the National Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and gubernatorial candidate for Imo State, has urged residents of the state to remain steadfast in their support for democracy despite current security challenges. He promised to prioritize safety and security if elected.

On the occasion of the 2023 Democracy Day, Anyanwu acknowledged the challenges brought on by insecurity and ineffective economic policies under the current administration. He expressed his concern that “Imo state has turned into a theatre of war” and lost its status as a model state for hospitality and security within the South-East region.

Furthermore, Anyanwu lamented that Imo’s citizens have been victimized by insecurity, with their livelihoods and business operations curtailed in recent years.

However, the PDP candidate promised a different outcome under his administration, emphasizing that “peace will be restored when the righteous takes over.” With Anyanwu’s intervention, Imo will be a safe place again, and citizens’ lives and property will be protected.

Anyanwu saluted the people for their commitment to taking the state out of the doldrums and returning it to its former glory as an investment-friendly and welcoming state. He called on the people to resist attempts to undermine their collective desire to elect a government that prioritizes citizens’ interests.

Finally, he urged Imolites to “remain focused, law-abiding and continue to play your role in consolidating democracy until our state is finally salvaged.”
