2023 AFCON Qualifier: Osimhen arrives camp as Peseiro bars media, fans from training

Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen has arrived at the Super Eagles’ Eko Hotel and Suites camp for this weekend’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone.

Osimhen breezed into the team’s camp on Tuesday afternoon.

The 24-year-old’s arrival increased the number of players in camp to 22.

Osimhen has scored five goals in four games in the qualifiers.

Villarreal winger, Samuel Chukwueze is still being expected.

Meanwhile, head coach, Jose Peseiro has barred the media and fans from today’s training session.

The closed-door training session is scheduled to begin at 4.15pm.

The 22 players in camp include; Osimhen, Zaidu, Musa, Ekong, Lookman, Aribo, Iwobi, Bassey, Ajayi, Akpoguma, Omeruo, Ndidi, Iheanacho, Awoniyi, Simon, Adeleye, Sochima, Ojo, Duru, Samuel, Divine, Onyeka
