Ex-Barcelona Star Jordi Alba May Join Messi at Inter Miami

The Major League Soccer (MLS) club, Inter Miami has reportedly shown interest in signing former Barcelona defender, Jordi Alba. However, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, and clubs based in Saudi Arabia also have an eye on the 34-year-old veteran’s signature, according to a recent report from ESPN.

Jordi Alba has already agreed to end his contract with Barcelona one year early, and he is expected to make a decision on his future soon after this week’s UEFA Nations League finals in the Netherlands.

It is worth mentioning that Lionel Messi made headlines when he declared last week that he would be joining Inter Miami. And since then, another Barcelona midfielder, Sergio Busquets, has held discussions with the MLS team.

Inter Miami has been actively targeting Europe-based players to strengthen their squad. Jordi Alba is the latest player approached by the South Florida team. It remains to be seen whether Inter Miami’s offer will convince the Spanish defender to make his way to the MLS or if another club will win the signature of the veteran player.
