Akinwunmi Ambode receives birthday felicitations from successor Sanwo-Olu

On his 60th birthday, Akinwunmi Ambode, former Governor of Lagos State, has received felicitations from his successor, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Governor Sanwo-Olu praised the former governor for the selfless service and dedication he had shown to the development of Lagos State. He also hailed Ambode’s tenure, stating that he made significant impact in various sectors during his time as governor.

Ambode had served Lagos State in various capacities prior to his governorship, including as a civil servant. He had also held various positions such as Council Treasurer, Auditor General for Local Government, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, and as the Accountant-General of Lagos State.

Although Ambode served only one term as governor, he is remembered for his contributions towards the progress of the state.

Despite the fallout between Ambode and some political stakeholders, including his then godfather, Bola Tinubu, Governor Sanwo-Olu acknowledged Ambode’s achievements and wished him many more fruitful years.
