Police Constable Rewarded with Hajj Seat for Returning Missing $800 BTA to Katsina Pilgrim

A heartwarming tale of honesty and integrity has emerged from Katsina State, as a police constable named Nura Mande has been rewarded with a Hajj seat for his exemplary act. In a commendable display of integrity, Mande found and returned a missing $800 USD Basic Traveling Allowance (BTA) to its rightful owner, a Katsina pilgrim in 2022.

The news was disclosed by CSP Gambo Isah, the Public Relations Officer of Zone 14, in a statement released on Friday in Katsina. According to Isah, the money belonged to Hajiya Hadiza Usman, an elderly individual from the Kusada local government area of the state. However, the statement did not reveal the identity of the person who generously provided the Hajj seat to the honest police constable.

Isah further stated that the individual who promised to reward Constable Nura Mande with a Hajj seat for his integrity has fulfilled their promise. Presently, Nura Mande finds himself in Saudi Arabia, embarking on the Hajj pilgrimage for the year 2023. Isah expressed gratitude to the Almighty Allah and the good people of the state for their prayers, gifts, and unwavering support of the Nigeria Police Force and its officers.

This remarkable act of honesty had earlier earned the police force a commendation letter from the Commissioner of Police, recognizing and appreciating their commitment to projecting a positive image of the police. The recognition serves as a testament to the importance of honesty and integrity in society.

The story of Constable Nura Mande reminds us of the power of small acts of honesty and the impact they can have on individuals and communities. It serves as an inspiration for others to uphold similar principles and contribute to a more trustworthy and respectful society.
