In a surprising revelation, Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele has expressed his desire for the club to sign Real Madrid’s Luka Modric as their newest addition to the team.

Since his move from Tottenham to Los Blancos in 2012, Modric has become an indispensable player for Real Madrid. With his exceptional performances, he has not only helped his club but also led his national team to two World Cup semi-finals.

During a recent interview, Dembele was asked which player he would sign from Real Madrid, to which he promptly responded, “Luka Modric.” While acknowledging the talent of goalkeepers Ter Stegen and Courtois, Dembele singled out Modric as his top choice.

Modric, who has been with Real Madrid for over a decade, has already amassed an impressive record. With 488 appearances, 37 goals, and 77 assists, he has been an integral part of their success. The Croatian has also lifted an astonishing 23 trophies, including five UEFA Champions League titles.

Dembele’s choice of Modric as a potential signing for Barcelona has raised eyebrows among fans and pundits alike. However, it demonstrates the Frenchman’s admiration for Modric’s unique skill set and the impact he could have on the team.

Should Barcelona pursue the signing, it would undoubtedly add a new dimension to their gameplay. Modric’s experience, creativity, and versatility would greatly enhance Barcelona’s midfield and reinforce their position as one of Europe’s top clubs.

As the transfer window approaches, it remains to be seen whether Barcelona will heed Dembele’s recommendation and make a move for the esteemed Real Madrid star.
