Former Zamfara SSG, Prof. Abdullahi Shinkafi, Passes Away: Yari Mourns

In a tragic turn of events, Senator Abdul’aziz Yari (APC-Zamfara) has expressed his condolences to the family of Prof. Abdullahi Shinkafi, the former Secretary to the Zamfara State Government (SSG), who passed away on Saturday. Shinkafi, who also served as the Commissioner for Religious Affairs during Yari’s administration, breathed his last in Abuja after a brief illness.

During an APC stakeholders’ meeting held in the town of Talata-Mafara on Sunday, Senator Yari lamented the loss of Shinkafi and acknowledged his significant contributions to the development of Zamfara State and Nigeria as a whole.

“Shinkafi contributed immensely to the development of the state and Nigeria in general,” said Yari. “May Almighty Allah grant Aljannatul Firdausi to the deceased, forgive his shortcomings, and give his family the fortitude to bear the loss. We extend our condolences to the immediate family of the deceased and the people of the state.”

The meeting also included special prayers in honor of the departed Shinkafi.
