Gombe State Governor Calls on Muslims to Embrace Sacrifice and Tolerance

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, has extended his greetings to Muslims in the state and around the world as they celebrate Eid Al-Adha. In his message, he emphasizes the importance of sacrifice, obedience, and tolerance.

The governor urges Muslims to continually submit to the will of Allah in every aspect of their lives. He also encourages them to pray for peace, security, and prosperity in both Gombe State and Nigeria as a whole, particularly during this new dispensation.

As the Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum, Governor Yahaya further calls on the Muslim ummah to follow the example set by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and continued by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by showing love, support, and good neighborliness.

“As we celebrate the Eid el-Kabir festival, I want to admonish us to reflect on the message and lessons of the season which teaches total submission, obedience, and selflessness,” he states. “We must also embrace the principles of Islam, which promote peace, tolerance, modesty, and love.”

The governor emphasizes that Muslims should continue to make sacrifices for the development and progress of Gombe State and Nigeria, especially during this critical time.

Governor Yahaya expresses his gratitude to the traditional institution, community and religious leaders, as well as the entire population of Gombe State for their support and understanding. He assures them of his commitment to providing effective leadership and building on the successes achieved so far for a brighter future.

Moving forward, Gombe State looks to its Muslim population to embody the spirit of sacrifice, obedience, and tolerance, as they celebrate Eid Al-Adha and strive for a better tomorrow.
