In the wake of Arsenal’s imminent £105m transfer deal for West Ham captain Declan Rice, influential British broadcaster Piers Morgan has emphasized the importance of also signing Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen to enhance the team’s chances of winning silverware next season.
Morgan, a devoted Arsenal fan, commended the club on securing Rice, describing it as a “monstrously good addition” to Mikel Arteta’s side. However, he believes that an additional signing is necessary to improve the team’s attacking prowess.
Expressing his thoughts on Twitter, Morgan stated, “It’s brilliant that Arsenal seem to have won the race to sign @_DeclanRice who will be a monumental asset to the team. But if we want to win big trophies, we also need a world-class striker who will score 25+ goals a season. I’d break the bank for @victorosimhen9.”
Osimhen showcased his exceptional talent during his spell at Napoli last season, clinching the Serie A Golden Boot and playing a pivotal role in the team’s conquest of the Italian top-flight league title.
